ROTARACT CLUB OF KNUST XMAS MESSAGE As a new year is drawing nigh, Rotaract club of KNUST wish everyone a merry and happy new year. In the hope of making a difference and changing lives. Let us all contribute in the best way we can to serving humanity and make the world a better place for all humanity.

ROTARACT GHANA ZONE D ORGANIZES A CLEAN-UP EXERCISE

On the 21st of September, 2017, a community clean up exercise was organized to effort of participating in the National Volunteering Day Program. The exercise was carried out at Ayeduase market which happens to be a community within the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Similar exercises were also organized across the country. Rotaract Club of KNUST happens to be part of the Zone D group. Participants also educated the community members on how to continually keep the environment clean which would eventually help prevent the spread of disease. It must be noted that this is in line with the area of focus for disease and prevention for Rotary International.

ROTARACT KNUST GOES ON A POLIO PARADE

Rotary Polio March As part of the effort to eradicate polio from the world, a polio march was organized around the country and the world with the help of Rotarians, Rotaractors and Interactors  from different parts of  the world, partnered by Polio Plus foundation and other  organizations. Numbering about 500, personnel from these institutions walked through some principal streets in the country to raise awareness about polio and the need for mothers with children under five (5) years to immunize their wards against it. The walk dubbed ‘End Polio Now: Make a History Today’ and led by the Ghana National PolioPlus Committee (GNPPC) We are this close to eradicate the manace with just a few countries left such as Pakistan and Nigeria. The March in Ghana took place across all regional capitals in the country, with participants marching in the principal.
